Tropical sun + high elevation + low humidity = beautiful weather! The conference took place at an excellent retreat facility in lush, tea-growing highlands above Nairobi.

A beautiful buffet, every time
Did I mention that the weather was nice?
My grade-level team and I volunteered to work with 21 middle school students in grades 7 and 8. They were terrific and blessed our team through sharing their talents generously during the week.
Some members of our team also proctored Iowa Testing on two days—we enjoyed it as much as the students who were on the receiving end. ;-)

Observe the wild Land Cruiser in its natural habitat. Watch—as the drably-clad Toyota 4x4 quietly rolls up on the unsuspecting souvenir shop, now suddenly releasing its female occupants to descend with rapacity on the sundries contained within! No lion pride or vulture wake could fathom how thoroughly—and at such frequent intervals—handicrafts, knickknacks, and baubles are ravenously plucked from the calm shores of each gift store oasis in this manner (and always at such reasonable bargains!). Truly, a spectacle of the animal kingdom not to be missed in Africa!
